Spybot w32 Worm
I have just battled a war with a worm and after talking with Ron @ AreaIV he said I should post it. Last week my network went down with over 6,ooo conncections to my firewall. It was a downloader.cdt virus. It flooded my networked and made it useless. At the same time I was also getting the Spybot w32 worm. Virus software was only 2 days old and didn't catch it. I am use symantec corprate edition. After a lot of scratching my head then tracking it down it removed easily, however the worm ( which symantec says is low level) would quarrentine until you disabled the NIC, logged off, logged on. It then would quarentine it, so you could remove it, then of course enable the nic and thats it. Most you probably know this and its old news to you but it really made me scratch my head and took a lot of man hours to track and remove. Just thought you might want to know....Where nothing can possibli go wrong!
