Teddy Bear VirusTeddy Bear Virus is a hoax that advises users to delete a valid Windows file that is named Jdbgmgr.exe. This file is the Microsoft Debugger Registrar for Java. If you receive the Teddy Bear Virus email message delete the email message and do not forward it to others. Although this file may become infected with a virus, its presence is not an indication of a virus infection. We recommend the use of anti virus software from companies like McAfee and Panda to alert you of hoaxes like Teddy Bear before you can accidentally do damage to you computer. An Anti spam filter can also protect against these mass distributed email viruses and hoaxes. Teddy Bear Virus may come to you in an email like this: Subject: Fw: VIRUS. Here's how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it: DO THIS: IMPORTANT ! ! ! If you get this email from a friend, they more than likely mean well -- most people don't think to check these things out AHEAD of time. Especially if they follow the direction and find the file. That alone may convince them that this hoax is on the up-and-up. IT'S NOT.
