W32 Virus
A Win32 or WIN32 virus or worm can affect MS Windows 95/98/Me, NT or 2000 PE (Portable Executable) files.
Anti virus software like McAfee, Kaspersky and Panda will remove W32 viruses and worms and protect you from future attacks.
W32 virus types replicate themselves by infecting other executable files thorugh a variety of mechanisms.
Some viruses such as W32 / Sobig also use Outlook and your address book to distribute infected files by email.
